How is it made?
For quality hemp milk with high nutritional value, you need raw, hulled hemp seeds. Seeds bought from herbal shops are likely to be roasted, producing milk with lower nutritional value.
Making hemp seed milk is easy and resembles making almond milk. It keeps for up to three days in a cool, dry place away from direct light.
Ingredients
- 150 grams of hemp seeds
- 1 liter of water
- Sugar or natural sweetener, optional
- A pinch of salt
Preparation
Place the seeds in a powerful blender and blend thoroughly. Add them to the water and stir with a spoon for about a minute. The important point is that the seeds should be raw and hulled. If using unhulled seeds, pass the blended mixture through cheesecloth or a fine sieve before mixing with water. Add salt and sweetener to taste.
